Our Barn

Sweetwater Stable barn with pink skies in the background. We take great pride in offering a super clean, well-maintained barn, which is both cool in summer and warm in winter. We continue to improve and enhance our facilities including: renovating the stalls in 2009, siding the barn in 2010, adding an 8th run-in shelter in 2012, building an indoor arena in 2013 and adding an obstacle course in 2014.

A Safe and Final Home

I have always taken in a few discarded horses. In 2021 we added 2, 5 acre fields to accommodate a few more unwanted horses. Often seniors, now unwanted after years of service. I take them for their lifetime. Sometimes the stay is long , sometimes short but every horse that comes here knows it has a safe and final home. Never sold , traded or given away.

  • 11 box stalls and 3 standing stalls, each thoroughly cleaned daily and bedded with dust-free shaving.
  • Individual portions of hay are hand-forked from round bales, twice a day in summer and three times a day in winter – excellent for horses with respiratory problem
  • We feed grain as supplied by indoor boarders twice daily. Outdoor boarders we feed grain once a day.
  • Two heated tack rooms.
  • Heated washroom with hot and cold water and a deep scrub sink.
  • Walkway from barn to the arena.
  • Boarders may use their own vet and farrier.
  • Owner lives on site and personally manages the barn, along with the barn manager.
  • Security cameras on-site for the safety.
